This was the first weekend in a long time that there was nothing that I had to do which was great because I needed to catch up on rest since I still was feeling sick.  We had some fun things planned such as seeing Gone Girl (which holy shit they did a good job keeping it intense even having read the book) and watching football.  But my favorite parts were the things unplanned.  Waking up and going for a walk and getting coffee, grocery shopping, slow cooking and apple pie making, True Detective marathons, all the things that just happened naturally and with ease.

It was a good weekend that will hopefully carry me through a long week.

Things I’ve Done Lately

Because I apparently don’t tumblr anymore.

- gotten sick. Listen I had my tonsils out for a reason and if it ends up not being the fix, shits gonna get real with my body.

- Have a full course load and work full time while trying to fit in the expectations for my program.  In short I am running around a lot and being a horrible friend/sister/daughter/human.

-Watched my cousin kick ass in the Chicago marathon, and cried as I watched people cross the finish line.

-Be super angry that I was told I couldn’t run a marathon because my knees blah blah blah, but I decided after this weekend to stop being a brat and do the therapy well and then maybe… maybe I can run one next year.

-speaking of therapy, trying to find a therapist is the pits.  I miss my gal in MKE, but a two hour drive doesn’t seem reasonable, especially with no weekend hours.

- Eating way too much food accompanied by too many beers.  Time to shock my system with some fruits and veggies

-Looked into a yoga studio and found one I really like.  To be continued….

- Sign up for a information session about getting a doctorate in Special Education cause apparently I want to stay horrible (see above)

- Saw Fleetwood Mac which was AMAZing! They are coming back in February and I am very tempted for round two….

Happy Tuesday!

I’ve been the worst at writing lately.  I am going to continue that with a bullet point update and hope for better in the future.

  • Both grad school and work school have started again.  I am taking 4 classes this semester which in hindsight, not my brightest idea.  But the good news is one of those classes is a Law school class and it will give me a pretty good idea about this crazy law school thought I have.
  • Turning the big 29 and looking over my 30 before 30 list; I have some big things to do in the next year.
  • I have two new roommates, one who is the best friend of my ex.  What in the actual bump is this?
  • Camped for the first time in awhile over the weekend and the new tent held up great….only problem?  Air mattress is too big.

That’s the big stuff. I am going to try to be better than just pictures.  But for now I hope you all are doing well and enjoying this last bit of summer.
